Starting young

I took this photo the other day and found it amusing.
The store is the LCBO, which stands for Liquor Control Board of Ontario.
So it is a liquor store, we can't buy alcohol at corner stores (thankfully, but they are trying to change that, lets hope it doesn't go through). So we have to go to a liquor or a beer store if we want to purchase alcohol.
What I find funny about this photo is the "Caution Children" sign beside it.
I don't know about you, but don't all children play in the liquor store parking lot, lol.

Onto My Day:
I worked on my DT project, which I will be sharing bright and early tomorrow morning.
Heather and I did a lot of running around...and some shopping ;) Which I will share with you on another day :)
I did about 4 loads of laundry and hung them on the outside line to dry. Which didn't take long at all as it was pretty hot today.
Went to pick up my invoice pads and envelopes that I ordered at the beginning of the beginning of the month and both stores said they weren't ready yet. Now I have to go out tomorrow and get them. I was planning on staying home and working all day. Guess I'll be taking a break.

I have to run out and take the last load off the line now, so I hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)

Tracy :)

  1. Hey Tracy...that is kind of a funny sign and in a funny place! Sounds like a good day, can't wait to see your DT project!

  2. That sighn is hilarious. I'm another who doesn't want to see them privatize the liquor board, stores and wharehouses.

  3. Ha, I love seeing pictures like that! Can't wait to see the results of your shopping trip! You know what...I DID have a creative Tuesday! Shock! Lol!

  4. Haha! So in Hawaii the convenience stores are called ABC stores but where I'm from that is the Alcoholic Beverage Control so it was a little confusing ;)

  5. Of course I always played in the liquor store parking lot - what better place to play! LOL

In New York, you could buy beer at the grocery store or gas station. But everything else you had to go to a liquor store. In Chicago, you can get everything everwhere! Grocery stores, Target, CVS, everything!

I can't wait to see what you got on your shopping trip! I'm hoping to be creative tomorrow, today I'm still playing vacation catch up!

  6. Ha! Love the sign there! :0) I am amazed at how "accessible" alcohol is in the US! hope not here...
I have a card I made for a challenge yesterday, but am not fully happy with it and am not super eager to post....I should and reflect on what I would change?

  7. I like to hang my laundry outside too. We had to replace the line and barrel it sits in earlier this summer.

  8. Ha ha that funny is a picture!
what idiot brings a kid. I hate that too.
    Hugs girl

  9. your days sound just like mine, i sometimes think cloning is a good idea

  10. Hi Tracy - funny photo LOL. I do hope they leave things the way they are, having to go to a specific store works fine. Before we emigrated from the UK, liquor was readily available in nearly every corner shop - it was silly - just like cigarettes - at least they hide them here. Thanks for the smiles:-)

  11. ohio used to be that way back when i was little but now you can buy it anywhere.

    fun photo

  12. That's a funny photo! TFS. Our ABC Store for purchasing liquor is located across the street from the funeral home.

  13. Oh funny! I'm going to have to go find a liquor store parking lot for my baby to play in!

  14. In the US it depends on the state. In my state you have to own a certain type of liquor license depending on whether you are going to serve it, sell it, or both. You cannot buy it at any corner store at all in NJ as far as I know, at least not up here in north Jersey but you can buy it at some grocery stores that carry it and that is usually only wine and beer, no hard liquor. And everything closes at 10pm for sales. I remember living in Florida when I was little and you could buy liquor anywhere, corner stores, gas stations... but you couldn't buy any liquor on Sunday. I cannot believe that sign is there LOL

Leave me some love and I will return it right back to you :)
